Chief Land has been with the Pittsboro Fire Department since 1988. He took the office of Chief in 2000. Chief Land is also a 13 year career fireman with the Brownsburg Fire Department, and member of the IAFF Local 4406. The roll of the Chief is to over see the department as a whole, including salaries, budget, hiring, and personnel issues.

Chief Land has been a resident of Pittsboro for 36 years, and is married with three beautiful daughters.

Assistant Chief Jason Stumm started his career in 1990 as a cadet for the Brownsburg Fire Territory and continued as a reserve firefighter/EMT and is now a career firefighter/EMT for the Brownsburg Fire Territory and a member of IAFF local 4406. In 1998 he joined the Pittsboro Fire Department as a reserve firefighter/EMT and has held the ranks of private, lieutenant and was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2000.
Assistant Chief Stumm likes to spend time with his 2 daughters, family and friends, jet ski and read articles about the fire service in his spare time.
